Here is the perfect fanfare to open any concert. It features the powerful brass and percussion sections. Johan De Meij is a leader in wind band compositions and this one is a very awesome work. The work opens with a tam tam crash, followed by the low brass entrance and from there the upper brass join in with very noble and syncopated rhythms. As with most fanfares, the rhythms and motives are passed around the ensemble and build to a glorious climax! It is a work that needs to be in your library today!
Technical Notes: Other parts included in this set are: 1 - B Flat bass trombone in treble clef, 2 - E Flat bass tuba in treble clef, and 2 - B Flat bass tuba in treble clef. The percussion part is for tam tam, suspended cymbal, two cymbals, and tubular bells.
