Stephen Schwartz has written the music for lots of Broadway shows, and this is a special one. The music from "Wicked" is very challenging. Michael Sweeney, who is a top-notch composer/arranger, has arranged this work for your beginning ensemble. The bass line is doubled by many instruments and therefore only a few players are needed to cover the part. The lush melodies, beautiful harmonies, and sinister percussion are all here, and it is a wonderful mix. You are sure to enjoy performing this work on your next concert.
Technical Notes: The percussion 1 part is for drum set. The percussion 2 part is for crash cymbal, suspended cymbal, tambourine, mark tree, triangle, and gong. The mallet percussion part is for bells, chimes, and vibes. The Timpani part is labeled "Timpani (Shaker)".
